Diabetes and The Condition Known As ED
There are a large number of men that suffer from the symptoms that are associated with erectile dysfunction (ED) that many times will cause them to schedule an appointment with their family physician for the frustrating problem, only to find that they are also suffering from the well-known medical condition known as diabetes. In fact, there are many men that have absolutely no clue and no symptoms that they are also suffering from another serious health condition that will need to be treated, until they have sought out a method of treatment for ED from their family physician. There are as many as 50% of all men that suffer from the condition of diabetes that also have problems with erectile dysfunction. The reason that it occurs is that the blood glucose levels that are elevated in a person who has diabetes, is also the very same problem that can often cause complications with the amount of blood that flows to the penis that ultimately causes an erection (along with other factors), and it can ultimately cause harmful nerve damage to the penis as well. Men who have had diabetes for long periods of time are more likely to acquire ED.
