Concerns With Uneven Or Lopsided Erections and ED
It is very common to notice minor abnormalities in the shape of a penis that is erect. Most of the time this is not a problem that you will need to be concerned about, but there are times that men can suffer from severe abnormalities that can be caused from erectile dysfunction (ED) and other problems that should be checked by your family physician or an urologist.
There are two cylinder type structures that are spongy in texture and located in the penis. Arousal in men will cause nerve impulses in the body that will then increase the level of blood that flows into these cylinders. The result is erection that is caused by the expansion that occurs in these cylinders, causing the stiffening and straightening of a man’s penis, unless the individual suffers from ED. In rare occasions cylinders that end up not being equal in the amount of blood that has flowed into them, will ultimately cause an unequal and lopsided appearance. This is because during the expansion process, there were not equal amounts of blood allowing for both cylinders to expand and stiffen normally. However, there are treatment methods available for ED and abnormalities of the penis
