New Research In Male Pattern Baldness Discovers New Genetic Triggers
There is research that is done all the time for male pattern baldness, because in the United States alone it affects as many as 50 percent of the male population. There have been some discoveries that have found there are several genetic triggers that increase the chance of losing hair.
Scientists have not found anything that can change the genetic triggers yet, and they expect that it could take years. They did find that Propecia is the only FDA approved medication that can work for male pattern baldness on a genetic level to stop the loss of hair and grow new hair from areas that hair has been lost.
This research that found there are genetic triggers was done at the Universities of Bonn and Dusseldorf in Germany where they found there are at least seven gene variants that are directly linked with male pattern baldness. The Scientists did agree that Propecia is the best answer to male pattern baldness that is available for genetic hair loss, because it is able to block the build up of Dihydrotestosterone. This is the hormone that does cause hair loss when it is over produced in the male body.
