Can Cialis Cause Myalgia Or Back Pain?
After there were a small number of reported problems that suggested that patients acquired myalgia (muscle pain) and/or pain that was felt in the back area, studies were then conducted to see if there was a relationship between each of these problems, and in the individuals that were taking the well known prescription medication that is commonly used for erectile dysfunction or ED, and is known as Cialis. 10 clinical trials that were placebo-controlled showed 9% of patients who received Cialis 10 mg, obtained myalgia and/or back pain. These symptoms showed in 8% of the patients that were given a 20 mg dosage, and in those that were given a placebo, there were only 3% that showed to have these symptoms. According to the International Journal of Impotence Research, these particular side effects of taking Cialis seem to a normal effect of phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors, and seemed to also be self-limiting. These numbers may in fact, seem very low, but in the individual that is experiencing the painful effects, it might be necessary and much more beneficial to try a different form of treatment for the symptoms that are experienced with the frustrating and often embarrassing condition of erectile dysfunction.
