ED and Peyronie’s Disease
There are numerous men all around the world who suffer from a condition that is known as Peyronie’s disease, and it is sometimes also called penile curvature. This is a physical condition that will often cause the individual who has the disease to suffer with additional problems of having erectile dysfunction or ED. Peyronie’s disease causes tissue or plaque in a male’s penis to calcify or become hardened. This hardening occurs in what is known as the tunica abluginea, which is a sheath like covering that surrounds the sponge like tissue of a man’s penis. There are many times that the men who suffer from this condition will also experience a large amount of pain when they obtain an erection, and it can also cause a curvature of the penis as well. Various studies show that almost 3% of the male population has this disease, which can lead to the condition of ED. The main symptoms of this particular disease include an angulation or curvature of a man’s penis while it is erect, pain, and lumps that can develop in the penis. Pain, anxiety, and worry, are all factors that can lead the ED, in men who have Peyronie’s disease.
