ED and Physical Causes Of This Condition
There are a variety of different problems that can occur to many different parts of a man’s body that are important for the individual to effectively be able to obtain an erection. The sequence of events that occur when a man performs sexual activities involves a variety of different impulses that are sent from the brain, and they include the spine, as well as the penis. Responses are also triggered in various muscles, veins, and arteries close to the corpora cavernosa, as well as fibrous tissues. When one or more of these components are injured or broken down, they simply do not function properly, and then the ability to obtain an erection decreases and it will often result in erectile dysfunction (ED). There are many different medical conditions that are commonly known for causing a breakdown in these components, and they would include kidney disease, diabetes, prostate cancer, vascular disease, and neurological disease, which include the brain and the nervous system.
Diseases are not the only factors that can cause these physical changes to a man’s body. Accidents that cause injury, surgery, alcohol-drug-tobacco use, an imbalance in the hormones, and other factors can also cause physical changes that result in ED.
