Ed and How Various Medications Can Cause It to Worsen
It can often be a very bothersome and frustrating situation, but lack of orgasm, decreased libido, problems being able to even get or keep an erection, as well as delayed ejaculation, are all problems that have known to be caused as possible side effects when an individual takes one of a variety of different over the counter and prescription medications. In order to obtain an erection, the penis relies on a specific amount of blood flow that is sent by several different nerve impulses, and when this blood flow, or the nerve impulses that are coming from other areas of your body are interrupted, the frustrations of ED generally occur. Medications for depression and high blood pressure are well known for causing erectile dysfunction, and because of this, there are numerous individuals who simply choose to no longer take their recommended medication. There are as many as 25% of all men in the United States that end up suffering from ED because of the prescription medications that they are taking. Some of the other medicines that can cause erectile dysfunction include tranquilizers, antihistamines, some antibiotics, cancer, chemotherapies, medicines that are used for prostate cancer, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and many others.
